Duane Stone is the Co-Founder and Director of Stones Disability Services, in the process of registering as an NDIS provider, committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Brisbane Bayside - Cleveland, Capalaba, Alexandra Hills, Wynnum and surrounding area. With over seven years of frontline experience as a Disability Support Worker, Duane is passionate about helping NDIS participants achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Duane’s role involves working closely with participants to support their NDIS goals, whether it’s daily living assistance, community participation, or short-term accommodation (STA). He specialises in Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments and provides tailored support that aligns with each individual’s unique needs.

Drawing on a strong background in business development, Duane has been instrumental in building Stones Disability Services around five core pillars: Hubs, Education, Advocacy, Assistance, and Adventure. His practical skills, including mentoring, transportation, domestic support, and activity planning, enable him to deliver a holistic and empowering experience to every client.

Duane holds Cert III and IV in Individual Disability Support, a Cert III in Fitness, alongside multiple NDIS compliance certifications including First Aid, CPR, and Positive Behaviour Support modules. He is dedicated to continuous professional development and is committed to ensuring participants feel supported, heard, and respected.

Outside of his role at Stones Disability Services, Duane lives a life full of adventure, service, and purpose. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, hiking, and 4WDing, often using these passions to facilitate adventure-based support programs for NDIS participants.

A devoted AFL and cricket fan, Duane also finds deep fulfilment in mentoring youth, especially those from diverse backgrounds and with unique support needs. As a born-again Christian, Duane has been actively involved in ministry work in Africa, where he supports initiatives focused on discipleship, leadership development, and community transformation.

His commitment to service, both locally and globally, drives his work in the disability sector and shapes his mission to create real, lasting impact for individuals and communities..
